About the Kream ‘N Kone
The Kream ‘N Kone was established in 1953 as a small stand serving ice cream, hot
dogs and hamburgers. Fried seafood was added to the menu shortly after, turning the
Kream ‘N Kone into the place to go for great fried seafood. Our family bought the
restaurant in 1990, bringing with us a simple philosophy: we buy and serve fresh and
top quality seafood. Since 1990, we’ve been recognized as the best “clam shack” on
Cape Cod, and through the years we’ve accumulated a variety of awards such as Cape
Cod Life’s Best Clams, Best Family Dining and Best Onion Rings; being included on
the Phantom Gourmet’s “Great Ate”, and more.

On March 6, 2003, the Kream ‘N Kone’s first home on
the corner of Rt. 28 and Sea St. was destroyed by a
terrible fire that devastated us all.. On July 2, 2003, with
the help of good friends and loyal customers, we
reopened for business at our new home on the corner of
Route 28 and Route 134 in West Dennis.
Please stop by and visit us to try “The Best Fried Seafood
Anywhere”, as proclaimed by our infamous sign.

The Kream ‘N Kone Sign
On March 6, 2003, the Kream ‘N Kone’s first home on the corner of Rt. 28 and Sea St. was destroyed by a terrible fire that devastated us all.. On July 2, 2003, with the help of good friends and loyal customers, we reopened for business at our new home on the corner of Route 28 and Route 134 in West Dennis.

The Kream ‘n Kone sign in front of the former building. Now the famous sign hangs on the wall in our dining room.
By 2003, the Town of Dennis considered the sign a landmark, and it remained
reminiscent of a time long gone, when patrons could drive up to the window and
order an ice cream cone or a basket of fried clams. The charming contradiction of a
hamburger representing a seafood restaurant is part of the restaurant’s long history,
something the Kream ‘N Kone views with pride.
When the devastating fire destroyed the building and the Kream ‘N Kone relocated up
the road, the sign was taken down. Due to current-day bylaws, the Argyriadis family
was unable to re-erect the sign in front of the restaurant’s new home, and the original
blue frame was removed.
Although the sign no longer stands, the original insert, nearly six feet tall, remains
intact and hangs inside the current home of the Kream ‘N Kone, proclaiming what
people have known to be true for over five decades: the Kream ‘N Kone is the home of
“The Finest Fried Seafood Anywhere”.
